City Of Raleigh Offerings:
The following courses will be offered through Wake Technical Community College. Interested persons must apply with the City of Raleigh's Office of Sustainability, 919-996-3840.
This training is offered "free" by the City of Raleigh Office of Sustainability and is being funded by the Department of Energy, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act also known as stimulus funds. You must live, work or do business within the City of Raleigh to qualify for this free training. There is a $25.00 fully refundable reservation fee after the completion of the course.

Solar Photovoltaic
This course is based on the NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installer Job Task Analysis and accredited by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC). Students will gain a thorough understanding of the tools used to complete site evaluations, how to perform necessary measurements and calculations, and the specific system components required to complete a fully-functional solar PV system installation. |

Solar Thermal
This course I s based on the NABCEP Solar Thermal Installer Job Task Analysis. Like the Solar Photovoltaic course, Solar Thermal is accredited by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) and includes labs and hands-on training exercises. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the tools used to complete site evaluations, how to perform necessary measurements and calculations, and the specific system components required to complete a Solar Heating and Cooling (SHC) system installation. |
